Padat Populasi dan Intensitas Kerusakan Oleh Keong Mas (Pomacea Canaliculata L.) Pada Tanman Padi (Oryza sativa L.) di Desa Labolewa, Kecamatan Aesesa, Kabupaten Nagekeo

Rice is an agricultural crop and is used as the staple food of the Indonesian
people which with increased income from rice plants can boost the economy of the
Indonesian people and provide food needs.This research was conducted in Labolewa
Village, Aesesa District, Nagekeo Regency, taking place in May – June 2016. This
study was conducted with the aim of determining the population and the level of
damage caused by gold snails (Pomacea canaliculata L.) in rice plants in Aesesa
District, Nagekeo Regency. This study used purposive sampling method in Labolewa
Village, Aesesa District, Nagekeo Regency which has rice plantations that enter the
vegetative stage. The results showed that the intensity of damage caused by gold
snails on rice plantsin Labolewa Village, Aesesa District, Nagekeo Regency was
categorized as moderate damage intensity with an average amount of damage
intensity from week 1: 34.32% week 2: 27.82% week 3: 15.80%. With the average
population of each unit: unit-1: 34 heads/m², unit-2: 31 heads/m², unit-3: 25 heads/m²,
unit-4: 27 heads/m² and unit-5: 35 heads/m².
